Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Delmann Transport Ltd. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.
Responsibilities:- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Loading and unloading goods with precision and care.
- Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Regularly inspecting vehicles, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Managing vehicle maintenance, performing preventive maintenance tasks, and conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Effective communication with central dispatch, relaying information and receiving instructions.
- Maintaining accurate records of cargo, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
- Proficiency in operating GPS navigation equipment and other tools necessary for the job.
- Familiarity with documentation knowledge, including bills of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime and bonuses.
