Job Summary

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the incumbent performs various tasks, acts as a communication link, and assists with patient care and domestic duties in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Performing clerical tasks and acting as a communication link for the unit.
  • Assisting patients with their daily needs and maintaining the cleanliness of the area.
Requirements:
  • High school education is required.
  • The successful completion of a Nursing Assistant program or equivalent qualification.
  • Medical terminology proficiency (75% pass mark).
  • Basic keyboarding skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Competency in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge of Indigenous customs.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Position may involve physical activity such as lifting and transporting patients and equipment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, along with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.

$59,500 estimated annual salary based on average salary for this position in the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority region.
