About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Grand River Granite LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our warehouse and distribution network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, ensuring accurate inventory levels and timely delivery to customers.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to optimize logistics operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Warehouse Operations: Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, stocking, and shipping goods, as well as maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Transportation Management: Schedule and coordinate the transportation of goods, including arranging for pickups, deliveries, and returns.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other logistics-related activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve logistical issues, such as damaged goods, stock discrepancies, and transportation delays.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a logistics or supply chain role
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Windows.
Work Environment

Our warehouse is a fast-paced environment with a large workload, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling required.
