About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Grand River Granite LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our warehouse and distribution network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, ensuring accurate inventory levels and timely delivery to customers.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to optimize logistics operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Warehouse Operations: Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, stocking, and shipping goods.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments, including preparation of shipping documents and coordination with carriers.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of goods received and shipped.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis to management on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a logistics or supply chain role
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Windows.
Work Environment

Our warehouse is a fast-paced environment with a large workload, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be physically demanding, with regular lifting of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
