Job Title: Branch Administrator/Commodity Buyer

Consolidated Gypsum Supply is seeking a highly skilled Branch Administrator/Commodity Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for purchasing goods and coordinating activities related to procuring at the branch level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure goods and materials for the branch, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Manage inventory records, including data entry and monitoring of warehouse and delivery damages.
  • Order and maintain branch stationery and supplies, as well as postage and other necessary items.
  • Ensure accuracy of company forms for Sales and Operations departments.
  • Coordinate with IT to maintain accurate inventory records of computer and electronic equipment.
  • Perform receptionist duties, including sorting and distributing mail, and filing customer invoices and other documents.
  • Reconcile petty cash and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare bank deposits and perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of warehouse administration experience, preferably in the building supply industry.
  • Purchasing/Commodity Buying experience is a requirement.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
