Consolidated Gypsum Supply is seeking a highly skilled Branch Administrator/Commodity Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for purchasing goods and coordinating activities related to procuring at the branch level.
Key Responsibilities:- Procure goods and materials for the branch, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Manage inventory records, including data entry and monitoring of warehouse and delivery damages.
- Order and maintain branch stationery and supplies, as well as postage and other necessary items.
- Ensure accuracy of company forms for Sales and Operations departments.
- Coordinate with IT to maintain accurate inventory records of computer and electronic equipment.
- Perform receptionist duties, including sorting and distributing mail, and filing customer invoices and other documents.
- Reconcile petty cash and maintain accurate records.
- Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Prepare bank deposits and take them to the bank.
- Provide relief for breaks and coverage for illness or booked time off.
- Participate in and record minutes for regular Branch manager meetings.
- Generate reports for inventory control and insufficient stock.
- Approve time sheets for warehouse and delivery personnel.
- Travel between branches as assigned.
- Update and monitor hours for hourly employees.
- Minimum two years of warehouse administration experience, preferably in the building supply industry.
- Purchasing/Commodity Buying experience is a requirement.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
