Metal Fabricator Job Description

Mancor Industries- Royal Windsor Drive is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for determining materials required, laying out reference points and patterns, and planning the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine materials required for metal fabrication projects
  • Lay out reference points and patterns for metal cutting and assembly
  • Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • Construct patterns and templates for metal fabrication
  • Install fabricated components in final product
  • Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in metal fabrication
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:

Mancor Industries- Royal Windsor Drive is a metal products manufacturing company that operates in a fast-paced environment. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be working in a noisy and dusty environment, lifting heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

30 to 35 hours per week.
