About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Worker to join our team at Lex Metal Fabricators Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment, assisting structural steel and platework fitters, and performing various tasks related to metal fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to ensure thorough cleaning.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters in the fabrication process.
  • Sort and organize metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles as needed.
  • Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
Requirements
  • Physical demands of the job include standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and handling heavy loads.
  • Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team player with initiative, efficient interpersonal skills, and accurate judgment.
  • Experience in metal fabrication is an asset.
  • Health benefits include a dental plan and permanent employment.
  • Language of work: English.
  • Hours of work: 40 to 44 hours per week.
