We are seeking a highly skilled Wealth Planning Specialist to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As a key member of Private Wealth Management, you will be responsible for partnering with TD advisors to deliver high-value customized guidance on retirement, tax, estate, and overall wealth planning to High Net Worth (HNW) clients of TD.

The ideal candidate will have 8 years of relevant experience in all aspects of Wealth Planning, including complex financial planning. You will provide professional financial, tax, estate, and risk management planning support and solutions to qualifying clients of TD Wealth. Additionally, you will assist advisors and relationship managers with business development, opportunity spotting, and revenue generation.

Your expertise will be leveraged by partners in TD Wealth and Wealth Advisory Services. You will work with Wealth Advisory Services partners as required for wealth planning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare customized wealth plans based on information obtained directly from HNW clients and their relationship managers;
  • Carry out independent research to ensure client's key issues (retirement, tax, philanthropic, and estate planning) are addressed;
  • Keep informed of relevant wealth planning developments and keep TD partners informed of developments;
  • Proactively spot, anchor, introduce, and follow up on opportunities for complimentary businesses and solutions;
  • Work effectively to develop and maintain relationships with TD Wealth advisors and relationship managers within TD Wealth Management;
  • Deliver wealth planning presentations to Advisors and clients;
  • Work closely and assist other WAS team members with preparing comprehensive wealth plans;
  • Develop strong internal and external networks and referral sources;
  • Ensure appropriate service levels are provided to maximize role profitability, minimize costs, and manage business to avoid financial losses and reputational damage to TDBFG;
  • Carry out other tasks and duties as assigned by manager from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree;
  • Accredited financial planning designation (CFP, PFP);
  • 8 years of relevant experience in all aspects of Wealth Planning;
  • Complex Financial Planning experience;
  • Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written;
  • Strong analytical and judgment skills;
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Naviplan, Voyant or CCH – (Financial Planning software);
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $76,800 - $115,200 CAD per year, depending on experience. We encourage candidates to ask compensation-related questions and engage in an open dialogue with their recruiter.
