Rising Edge Group is currently seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join our team. This role requires strong technical expertise and exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on ensuring effective project execution.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of field projects. As a Field Engineer, you will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that project goals are met efficiently, safely, and within established timelines.

This position requires excellent organizational abilities, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to addressing challenges on-site. You will also contribute to maintaining project documentation, fostering clear communication among team members, and upholding the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and support in the field to ensure effective project execution.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules, and provide feedback.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with design and specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, including progress and performance metrics.
  • Resolve field issues efficiently and in accordance with Company policies.
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain thorough documentation of findings and actions taken.
  • Provide solutions to complex problems encountered on-site.
  • Define the work scope for subcontractors and coordinate communication with the Project Manager regarding requirements.
  • Develop work packages, including material, scope of work, equipment required based off drawings provided.
  • Ensure effective communication between all team members.
  • Organize and ensure proper transfer over of job duties and task for cross shift.
  • Drafting RFIs and liaising with the client.
  • Attend daily client and contractor meetings on site.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a field engineering role or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, utilizing and manipulating large data sets.
  • Prior knowledge of Aconex project management software considered a strong asset.
Compensation and Benefits

Rising Edge Group offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
