• Perform on-site design services and field support.
• Complete basic engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
• Collect data and gather information to support design decisions.
• Work as a contributing team member within a multi-discipline team.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
• Comprehensive understanding of design standards and codes related to electrical systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards including electrical, instrumentation and/or controls engineering design principles.
• Experience in developing all phases of electrical, instrumentation and/or controls engineering design packages.
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, National Electrical Code, and applicable energy codes and ability to apply and interpret same.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
• Team player and collaborator with interpersonal skills and experience in coordinating people.
• Experience in developing and reviewing technical documents.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals with a strong educational background and relevant professional experience in electrical engineering. A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of experience working on engineering design projects is required.
