We are seeking experienced High-Voltage Substation Engineers to join our team and contribute to iconic infrastructure projects across North America.

Job Summary:

As a High-Voltage Substation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-voltage substation projects from conceptual design through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer high-voltage substation projects from conceptual design to construction
  • Prepare reports and technical documentation for clients
  • Develop electrical physical design packages, including One-line diagrams, site plans, and other essential documents
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control of electrical engineering design packages
  • Provide regular progress updates and reporting on project deliverables
  • Offer engineering and technical support to field crews during construction
  • Contribute to proposal development, LOE analyses, and project estimates
  • Support business development plans and employee utilization rates
  • Maintain local marketplace reputation through established relationships and industry events

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of substation design and engineering experience within utilities, EPC, and/or consulting organizations
  • An Electrical, Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Proficiency in various areas of substation engineering, including civil, structural, P&C, and studies
  • Familiarity with international and North American electrical codes and regulations
  • Experience with software packages, such as AutoCAD and grounding analysis tools
