Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurophysiology Technologist to join our team at The Royal Mental Health Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct polysomnographic recordings for patients undergoing overnight sleep studies, nap, and alertness tests.
  • Monitor patients during testing to ensure their safety and maintain high-quality recordings.
  • Perform CPAP/Bi-Level titrations for patients with sleep-related breathing disorders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Assist with administrative functions in the laboratory.
  • Work in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies, and procedures of The Royal.
  • Contribute to a work environment that promotes The Royal's Anti-Racism, Harassment & Discrimination Free policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Life Sciences.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT) certification.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
  • Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) certification.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards.
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask and respond to changing situations.
  • CPR Certification Level B within the last 12 months.
  • WHMIS update within the last 12 months.
  • English language proficiency at level A- in oral expression, comprehension, reading, and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $33.94 to $39.07 per hour.
