Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our team at TOOGANN TECHNOLOGIES. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our vehicle systems and features.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform and support the execution of System Safety tasks, including safety concept and safety program plan development, safety requirements and traceability.
  2. Support validation and verification team in DVP development and execution of Safety Case development.
  3. Participate in design discussions to ensure that safety requirements are implemented and adequate.
  4. Support design activities, CCA/CCM/DFMEA, and support both in-house and supplier-led development.
  5. Support product development as a member of a cross-functional team.
  6. Review supplier functional safety deliverables to ensure Stellantis requirements are supported.
  7. Participate in or lead safety reviews of functional safety process work products.
  8. Coach engineering teams on functional safety process.
  9. Teach classes to Stellantis employees on functional safety process and analysis.
  10. Actively participate in functional safety workgroups, as assigned, to support development or improvement in processes.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited university.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience.
  3. Experience within the area of functional safety.
  4. Demonstrated ability to apply the V-model development process.
  5. Demonstrated competency in Systems Engineering - Active Controls, Communications Protocols.
  6. Demonstrated competency in Functional Safety and System Safety.
  7. Trained in both DVP&R and DFMEA creation and execution.
  8. Good problem-solving skills.
  9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  2. A minimum of 3 years within the area of functional safety.
  3. A minimum of 8 years of related engineering experience.
  4. Understanding of Safety of the Intended function (SOTIF).
  5. Trained and certified in ISO26262.
