Job Title: Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Waterford Executive is seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Design and develop assembly lines, including layout, process flow, and cycle time charts.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing and quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain build standards and catalogues of acceptable parts.
  • Assist in the development of material handling logistics and packaging solutions.
  • Review and coordinate tooling design, build, and capital budgets.
  • Assist in setting up preventative maintenance programs for new equipment.
  • Resolve quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and coordinate custom packaging design, build, and approval process and capital budgets.
  • Assist in setting up preventive maintenance programs for e-coat and shipping racks.
  • Coordinate all required actions to resolve quality and safety concerns related to packaging.
  • Support new business quoting process with packaging recommendations.
  • Support activities for successful attainment of PPAP and GP-9.
  • Comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Quality and Environmental Programs.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of related experience within an automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in managing assembly line design, build, and fabrication.
  • Able to read and interpret GD&T, CAD drawings, and experience with AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of stamping, forming, and hydroforming processes.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Great communication and presentation skills for customer interface.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to support daily and weekend overtime requirements to meet customer needs.
  • Flexible to travel within North America as well as overseas.
