The School of University Arts and Sciences at Selkirk College is seeking an experienced instructor to teach Anthropology courses in the Fall semester. As an academic expert, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and passion with students, guiding them through their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction to students in Anthropology 101 (Introduction to Anthropology II: Cultural Anthropology) and Anthropology 205 (Anthropology of Religion).
• Create and maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Provide constructive feedback to students, promoting their growth and development.
• Evaluate student progress and achievement, ensuring alignment with course outcomes and assessments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Anthropology or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in post-secondary teaching, with a proven track record of success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Benefits

This is a short-term, part-time position commencing August 19, and ending December 23, or upon the return of the incumbent. The salary range is $2,709.12 - $4,341.23 bi-weekly (at 100% appointment), based on qualifications and experience.
