About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Nova Scotia Ltd. o/a HI Port Hawkesbury. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Organize buffets and banquets
- Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- Own transportation
- Work under pressure
- Attention to detail
