Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Laborer to join our team at Harwood Lumber LTD. As a key member of our plywood and veneer production team, you will be responsible for assisting in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the operation of woodworking machines and equipment, including conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines.
  • Feed and load materials, including chips, sulphur, and processing materials.
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products.
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing.
  • Clean machines and work areas.
  • Repair plywood and veneer mechanically or manually.
  • Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand, and splice veneer sheets.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Steel-toed safety boots required.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
