Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Plywood and Veneer Production Assistant at Harwood Lumber LTD. In this role, you will assist in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality veneers and plywood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the operation of woodworking machines and equipment, including conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines.
  • Feed and load materials, including chips, sulphur, and processing materials.
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Clean machines and work areas, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
  • Repair and maintain plywood and veneer products mechanically or manually.
  • Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand, and splice veneer sheets.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience an asset, but not necessary.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
