Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team at Harwood Lumber LTD as a Labourer, Plywood and Veneer Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting other processing workers in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines with wood products
  • Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials as required
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products to designated areas
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Repair plywood and veneer mechanically or manually as needed
  • Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand, and splice veneer sheets
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience an asset, but not necessary
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks
  • Steel-toed safety boots required
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced factory environment with a team of experienced processing workers. The work site is noisy and dusty, and the candidate must be able to work safely and efficiently in this environment.
