Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Harwood Lumber LTD as a Plywood and Veneer Plant Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting other processing workers in the operation of various woodworking machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines with wood products
  • Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials as required
  • Sort, pile, and transport wood products to the next stage of production
  • Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Repair plywood and veneer mechanically or manually as needed
  • Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand, and splice veneer sheets
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position
  • Experience is an asset, but not necessary
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Steel-toed safety boots are required
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a variable schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
