Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Maintenance Worker to join our team at Synergy Systems. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our apartment/condominium complex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs, and empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Appliance Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks and show apartments and offices to prospective tenants.
  • Supervision: Supervise other workers and move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair, water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Weather Conditions: Work in all weather conditions and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

  • Newcomers and Refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.

  • Mature Workers: Provides workspace accommodations, such as age-appropriate ergonomic considerations, to meet the physical needs of mature workers.
  • Visible Minorities: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
