Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Maintenance Worker to join our team at Synergy Systems. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our apartment and condominium complexes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Make adjustments and perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Perform safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action
  • Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants to provide excellent customer service
  • Supervise other workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies to maintain a well-organized workspace
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the appearance of our properties
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to create a welcoming environment
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate your independence and self-motivation
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our properties
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and move equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
