Job Summary

The Management Development Trainee role at EMCO Corporation is a comprehensive program designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a management position. As a Management Development Trainee, you will progress through a 4-phased program, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of the business, including operations management, employee development, and customer service.

Program Outline

Phase 1: Warehouse and Customer Service (12-Months)

• Focus on warehousing procedures, shipping and receiving, and counter support for customer transactions

Phase 2: Customer Relationships and Procurement (12-Months)

• Focus on customer problem solving, relationship building with customers and vendors

Phase 3: Account Management and Proactive Sales (12-Months)

• Focus on business development and sourcing sales, while expanding the customer base and creating stronger partnerships

Phase 4: Leadership and Operations (3-Months)

• Developing leadership skills, supporting the team through coaching and mentoring, and setting vision and strategy for the business

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • University degree or college diploma – all disciplines of study will be considered
  • Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow
  • Excellent leadership, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Strong interest in sales
  • Valid driver's license
