Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain patient health information and medical records.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of health records.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA.
  • Participate in audits to verify the integrity of health information.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers to facilitate the exchange of patient information.
  • Train staff on proper documentation practices and health information management.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Health Information Technology or a related field; certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred.
  • Experience in health information management or medical records, with familiarity in coding and billing processes.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and health information management software.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
