Job Title: Community Communications Liaison

Job Summary: The City of Iqaluit is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Community Communications Liaison. This role requires strong communication skills, both in Inuktitut and English, to connect residents with city services and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with residents and city staff in Inuktitut and English
  • Connect residents with city services and support
  • Coordinate city communications and customer service delivery
  • Participate in the implementation of the City's Inuit Employment Plan (IEP)
  • Assist in strengthening Iqaluit as an Inuit and cultural capital

Requirements:

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Communications, Cultural Studies, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years' work experience in a municipal, Territorial, or Federal Government or not-for-profit environment involving communications, programs, or service delivery
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Professional writing skills and computer literacy
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Iqaluit's history

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary: $60,300.77 per annum, 35 hour/week
  • Settlement Allowance: $20,907.43 per annum
