Job Title: DEA Liaison Officer

The Coalition of Nunavut District Education Authorities (CNDEA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DEA Liaison Officer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The DEA Liaison Officer will provide training and support to local DEA Board members and staff, serving as the primary liaison and voice for the DEA with CNDEA and the Department of Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and daily support to local DEA Board members and staff.
  • Collaborate with CNDEA and the Department of Education to advocate for and elevate DEA needs and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Inuktitut and English.
  • Comfortable collaborating with staff and boards and providing mentorship and training.
  • Strong research skills and ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team structure.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive in completing tasks.
  • Grade 12 diploma is an asset.
  • Previous experience working with DEAs is an asset.

Benefits and Pay:

  • Pay starting at $100,780 + $16,008 Northern Allowance + Cash Allowance.
  • NEBS Benefits plan - Health and Pension (8% employer matching).
  • Position is based in Iqaluit - No remote possibility.
  • Relocation Assistance provided.
  • Housing is not available for this position - A cash housing allowance is provided.
