About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Master Transportation Project Manager to join our growing team in Ontario, Canada. In this key role, you will be responsible for leading transportation projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Summary
  • Manage transportation projects on local, collector, and arterial roads for various municipal clients throughout Ontario, including schedules, budgets, cost control processes, quality control, and work procedures.
  • Design and contract preparation for urban/rural construction and reconstruction projects, including local and regional roads & highways, environmental assessments, watermains, storm and sanitary sewers, etc.
  • Supervise the design of specific projects, including guidance of technical staff, client liaison, technical reviews of documents and design, preparation of project specifications, and resolving various engineering challenges.
  • Liaise with government and regulatory/environmental authorities to guide projects through permit approval processes.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Oversee multiple transportation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and maintenance of high-quality standards.
  2. Design and Contract Preparation: Develop and prepare designs and contracts for urban/rural construction and reconstruction projects, considering local and regional road networks, environmental factors, and infrastructure needs.
  3. Team Supervision: Lead and guide technical staff, provide guidance, and conduct technical reviews of documents and designs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Client Liaison: Establish and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, understanding their needs and expectations, and communicating project progress and results effectively.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with government and regulatory authorities to navigate permit approval processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project delivery and team management, including at least 7 years in design experience with transportation and municipal infrastructure in Ontario.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.PMP designation considered an asset).
  • Experience with managing multi-discipline designs and construction projects.
  • Ability to mentor staff to expand their technical knowledge.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil3D and/or Microstation/OpenRoads, Office 365, and MS Project.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Valid 'G' class driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Compensation Package

Our competitive compensation package includes a salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
