Technology Services Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at the City of Toronto. As a key member of our Technology Services department, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of large-scale information technology applications.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership on large-scale projects, ensuring that solutions are designed and implemented to meet business requirements and industry best practices.
- Project Management: Lead and facilitate project management structures that span multiple levels of government, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Technical Solutions: Identify and develop divisional/cross-divisional initiatives to produce synergies and economies of scale, and provide assessments and recommendations of new technology trends on the effective use, acquisition, and integration of technology by the City.
- Security and Compliance: Recommend and implement security, privacy, and quality assurance requirements consistent with corporate and legislated standards, and ensure that solutions comply with accessibility standards and best practices.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of technical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with senior management, clients, and stakeholders, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
- Education: Post-secondary education in computer science or a related discipline, or the approved equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience: Extensive experience working with minimal supervision as a front-end developer, with proven leadership, mentoring abilities, designing enterprise solutions and software components.
- Technical Skills: Experience developing using JavaScript, Web Components, ReactJs, HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, hybrid mobile development (Cordova), and other JavaScript frameworks and technologies.
- Soft Skills: Highly developed interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
