Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Lead to join our team at J&T MACHINE KNIFE INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems
  • Develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs
  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
  • Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Mastercam CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, MS Windows, Project management software, and MS Office skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing or processing industry setting with a team of 3-4 people. The work environment will be physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The candidate must be able to stand for extended periods and work under pressure with tight deadlines.
