Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer Lead to join our team at J&T MACHINE KNIFE INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the maintenance and repair of our mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Plan and manage projects, preparing material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems.
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers, reviewing and approving designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in mechanical systems maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of Mastercam CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, MS Windows, and project management software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
