Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Lead to join our team at J&T MACHINE KNIFE INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our mechanical engineering team and overseeing the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in mechanical systems
  • Develop and implement maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to ensure optimal system performance
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards
  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems and develop corrective actions
  • Plan and manage projects, including preparing material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers, reviewing and approving designs, calculations, and cost estimates
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to improve mechanical system performance and efficiency
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or processing industry
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including design, development, and implementation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a team of experienced engineers and technicians. The work will involve standing for extended periods, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines.
