Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at Schlegel Villages. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure residents' needs are met.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and services.
  • Provide education and support to residents and their families on health-related topics.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Experience working in long-term care or gerontology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MDS credentials.
  • Experience working with people living with dementia.
  • Knowledge of palliative care principles and practices.
