About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing technical support to Regional staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology assets. As an IT Service Desk Assistant, you will be responsible for responding to Help Desk inquiries, recording client interactions, and providing second-level support to ensure excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to Help Desk inquiries and provide solutions to Regional staff on computer equipment and software issues
- Record all client interactions using ticket tracking software and monitor and alert management of urgent issues
- Provide second-level support to ensure referral, escalation, and follow-up procedures are applied correctly and effectively
- Participate on technical project teams to assist in delivery of ITS related projects and programs
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal ITS staff and staff from other Departments
- Currently enrolled on a full-time basis in a post-secondary IT or related program and must have a required co-op, placement, or internship to graduate
- Knowledge of computer hardware and technology components
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self-management, and flexibility/adaptability
- Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications
