Job Description

As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting Humber College's recognition of prior learning initiatives. You will be responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data related to this initiative, as well as synthesizing the results of your research and communicating key findings to stakeholders.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Using various search engines to locate relevant data and information
  • Conducting best practice reviews and summarizing literature
  • Collecting and analyzing data using basic statistical techniques such as means and frequencies
  • Developing presentations and visualizations using Microsoft Office applications
  • Collaborating with project team members to develop and administer surveys
  • Attending project meetings

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in research methods and analysis, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills. Your experience working with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, will also be essential.

A bachelor's degree in a social science or education field is preferred, but not required. What is more important is your ability to work independently and collaboratively, think critically, and solve problems effectively.
