Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Infrastructure Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of assigned traditional delivery and Service Provider projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the production of all project deliverables, including Change Order process management, design documentation, construction documents, schedules, cashflow, budgeting, and compliance with applicable standards and municipal and provincial authorities' regulations.
  • Manage the project administration processes for external consultants, contractors, and project management service providers, including financial management of contracts, negotiations, dispute resolution, and/or interpretation and terms of agreement(s) on behalf of the organization.
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports for both internal and external stakeholders, presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop and proactively identify project risks and establish mitigation measures in coordination with internal, external project team members, Service Providers, and Ministries.
  • Manage the procurement of external Consultants, Contractors, and any specialty Vendors to support delivery of assigned projects.
  • Act as the Infrastructure Ontario representative for internal and external committees and meetings related to project activities, preparing and delivering presentations for a variety of stakeholders to support project delivery.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in a Project Management related role, directly leading the end-to-end delivery of traditional delivery and Service Provider projects through all stages of predesign, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Experience or education in a related discipline, such as Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, and/or Project Finance, where project management forms part of the curriculum.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Experience in managing internal and external vendors for Pre-design services, including feasibility studies, functional programming, and space planning and optimization.
  • Experience in functional programming development to support client's requirement for a project and/or long-term vision for existing and new infrastructure.
  • Experience managing design-build, Service Provider project management contracts, Stipulated Sum, and Construction Management methodologies is required.
  • Experience developing, administering, monitoring, and tracking various contract types and legislation, including CCDC-2, CCDC-5B, CCDC-14, OAA Document 600 Master Service Agreements, and the Construction Act.
  • Experience reading through CAD drawings, specifically issued for construction (IFC) drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating and building relationships with client(s), internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, building codes, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations related to the design and construction industry.
  • Experience resolving technical design, construction, legal, budget, scope, and schedule issues with the capacity to proactively manage risk and facilitate positive solutions with a diverse group of public and private sector stakeholders.
