About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Gas Bar Cashier at Porter Creek Super A Foods. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Process Transactions: Scan items, receive payment for goods or services, and provide change as needed.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain Store Appearance: Ensure the gas bar area is clean, tidy, and well-stocked, and report any maintenance or repair issues to management.
  • Verify Age for Restricted Products: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train the right candidate.
  • Work Setting: Fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with electronic cash registers, Interac machines, and price scanners.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Working Conditions
