Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Gas Station Cashier to manage transactions and provide exceptional customer service at our Mobil Station. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role
Work Environment

This position is based in a gas bar setting, requiring a proactive approach to customer interactions and sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the cash register efficiently
  • Process various forms of payment including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards
  • Scan and manage inventory items
  • Receive payments for goods and services
  • Calculate and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales
  • Engage in suggestive selling techniques
  • Restock shelves and maintain cleanliness of the counter area
  • Greet and assist customers with inquiries
  • Provide high-quality customer service
  • Calculate foreign currency exchanges as needed
  • Verify customer age for the sale of restricted items
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in using electronic cash registers
  • Familiar with Interac machines and price scanners
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check
Transportation Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Access to a personal vehicle is required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Willingness to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary

Work Conditions

This is a permanent position requiring availability for shift or on-call work, with expected hours ranging from 35 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
