Main Job Responsibilities:

The Office Support Clerk III position at the City of Vancouver supports the Child Care Manager in various tasks, requiring a sound knowledge of childcare departmental practices and operations. Key duties include keeping records related to human resources, program policies, and department statistics, as well as preparing and processing various forms and documents. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining a large volume of records and files, both manual and computerized, and taking meeting minutes and meeting setup and preparation.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have completion of the 12th school grade and sound related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. They will possess thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic, as well as considerable knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. The incumbent will also have sound knowledge of departmental and other policies, regulations, rules, procedures, and practices that relate to the position occupied or which govern worksite activities and employee behavior.
