Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at MacKay Animal Hospital in Whitby, ON. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery.
  • Conduct physical examinations, patient assessments, and venipuncture procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Provide compassionate care and support to hospitalized patients and their owners.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and veterinarians.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and best practices.
