Job Title: Site Supervisor

Location: Richmond, BC - YVR Airport

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 / year based on experience

Job Overview:

The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the scope of work at our client site, working closely with the Operations Manager and other Site Supervisor peers. As a key point of contact for the client, the Site Supervisor is responsible for managing employee performance, ensuring Alpine meets its contractual obligations, and identifying opportunities to increase productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance management of employees
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to team members
  • Ensure a high degree of employee engagement and retention through effective leadership practices
  • Utilize technology, such as Dayforce and OrangeQC, to lead and manage team members
  • Monitor and address performance standards, complaints, and maintenance issues
  • Ensure scheduled hours and actual hours align with budget

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Work experience or knowledge of the Building Maintenance Service industry is required
  • Union experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in people management, either in a prior management role or equivalent experience
  • The ability to successfully pass a reliability clearance and criminal record check
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience developing and fostering positive team environments
  • Excellent communication and the ability to have tough conversations
  • Strong emotional intelligence and maturity
  • Organized with strong follow-through
  • Great problem-solving skills

Working Conditions:

  • This is a large facility, and the Site Supervisor must be present in various areas throughout the shift
  • Reports to an Operations Manager
  • Manages Lead Hands and Cleaners
