Job Title: Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Tasty Indian Bistro. As an Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared to a high standard, and that our customers receive exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a proven track record of successfully managing kitchen staff and maintaining inventory and records. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the preparation of complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation
* Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success
* Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, making adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency and profitability
* Inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to maintain a clean and safe environment

Requirements:

* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required; a post-secondary certificate or degree in a related field is an asset
* 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred, although we will consider candidates with transferable skills and relevant training
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
* Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity
