Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team at Strawberry Field Daycare. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Order supplies and equipment and assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • Establish guidelines for behaviour and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours and supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
Requirements:
  • Child development supervisor (ECE level 3)
  • Attention to detail and combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Punctuality, flexibility, and ability to multitask
  • Team player with 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care setting
