Overview

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is seeking a skilled GNSS Algorithms Engineer to develop industry-leading network positioning algorithms. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and enhancing algorithms to process global and regional GNSS reference stations and model satellite and regional atmospheric errors for PPP and Network RTK services.

The Role

As a GNSS Algorithms Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create robust and complete requirements, architectural designs, ICDs, and design documentation
  • Developing and enhancing industry-leading network positioning algorithms
  • Mentoring junior team members to assist with developing solutions and problem-solving
  • Interface with marketing, product managers, and the systems team to create robust and complete requirements, architectural designs, ICDs, and design documentation
  • Collaborating with verification designers to plan, execute tests, and develop automated test suites
  • Analyzing data using graphical and statistical tools to evaluate solutions and identify and investigate software defects
  • Exploring new advancements in positioning and finding ways to incorporate them into our products and services

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in geomatics engineering or a related field
  • Experience with GNSS data processing, estimation, and positioning principles
  • Experience with RTK and/or PPP GNSS processing
  • Programming capability in C/C++, with demonstrated experience in debugging and troubleshooting
  • Critical thinking, data analysis, and research skills to develop solutions
  • Innate curiosity and a keen interest in all kinds of positioning
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to interface effectively and amicably with colleagues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary and distributed team
