Overview

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is seeking a skilled GNSS Algorithms Engineer to contribute to the development of industry-leading network positioning algorithms. As a member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to create robust and complete requirements, architectural designs, and design documentation.

The Role

As a GNSS Algorithms Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and enhancing network positioning algorithms
  • Mentoring junior team members to assist with developing solutions and problem-solving
  • Collaborating with verification designers to plan, execute tests, and develop automated test suites
  • Analyzing data using graphical and statistical tools to evaluate solutions and identify software defects
  • Exploring new advancements in positioning and incorporating them into our products and services

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in geomatics engineering or a related field
  • Experience with GNSS data processing, estimation, and positioning principles
  • Experience with RTK and/or PPP GNSS processing
  • Programming skills in C/C++ with demonstrated experience in debugging and troubleshooting
  • Critical thinking, data analysis, and research skills to develop solutions
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to interface effectively with colleagues

  • Understanding and communication of concepts, algorithms, and data analysis
  • A solid understanding of GNSS systems and error sources
  • Understanding of estimation techniques, such as least squares and Kalman filtering
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly and effectively
