Job Description:

The Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for managing accurate accounting and reconciliation of operational expenditure information in line with company policy and applicable accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.

This role supports the financial reporting process by preparing and reviewing monthly reconciliations of all company bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will also assist with treasury-related tasks, including cash position reports and ad-hoc requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of all company bank accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  2. Employee Expense and Corporate Credit Cards: Process weekly employee expense batches, credit card expenses, and journal entries to upload to Netsuite.
  3. Treasury: Monitor cash balances, prepare daily cash position reports, and manage ad-hoc treasury requests.
  4. Ad-hoc Special Projects & Analysis: Review current procedures, implement improvements through new tools and systems, and perform in-depth analysis as requested.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of accounting and/or finance experience.
  • Pursuing a professional accounting designation (CPA).
  • US GAAP knowledge is an asset.
  • NetSuite experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
