Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze tax distributions and allocations for mutual funds, ETFs, and closed-end funds.
  • Verify fund tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve tax-related issues and provide expert advice.
  • Liaise with government revenue agencies to address tax audits, installments, and correspondence.
  • Participate in tax-related operations projects, such as fund launches, mergers, and terminations.
  • Prepare and submit tax documentation and forms, including W8 BEN, CRS, W9, and tax IDs.
  • Review and analyze PFIC reporting and assist external providers with tax reclaim filing documentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in fund accounting and tax reporting.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Accounting designation or certification is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MCH, E-Horizon, Reuters, and Bloomberg.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and with deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable individual with a proactive approach.
  • Sound professional judgment, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
