About the Role

This person is accountable to support the Maintenance function by preventing and repairing mechanical breakdowns.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs to machinery and plant support systems with regards to hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical problems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) schedules on machinery and Plant Support equipment.
  • Suggest preventative measures to minimize or eliminate breakdowns.
  • Maintain correct safety standards at all times.
  • Complete all check sheets and records as it relates to the P.M. program, Work Orders, etc.
  • Member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Capable of instructing maintenance personnel in trade related tasks and skills.
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical problems with equipment.
  • Modify machinery and equipment and overhaul machines as directed.
  • Install, set up, and commission new equipment.
  • Aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customers.
