Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Canada's Best Value Inn. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, and supervise cleaning staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Inspect facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Assist cleaners in performing duties and provide guidance as needed.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support for newcomers and refugees: assist with immediate settlement needs and provide awareness training to employees.
  • Support for youths: provide awareness training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous people: provide cultural competency training and awareness training.
  • Support for visible minorities: provide diversity and cross-cultural training.
