Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Canada's Best Value Inn. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Coordinate Work Activities: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of resources.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimize downtime.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, and other essential services.
  • Support for Youths: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
